Picture of Barley, the Pendle Inn, famous watering hole for people climbing Pendle Hill, is on the left.

Barley is a small farming settlement at the foot of Pendle Hill.  It's the usual gathering place of people setting off to climb the hill.  It's history can be traced back to 1324 when it was known as Barleegh.
