Apple Macintosh is fine for a while yet

"The good news is that since their introduction in 1984, Macintosh computers have had the ability to make the transition to the year 2000. In fact, the Mac OS and most Mac applications can handle internally generated dates correctly all the way to the year 29,940."  from the Apple Y2K statement.

I wonder how many Macs will be around in 29,940!

 

29 March 1999

UK Civil Aviation Authority announces that the National Air Traffic System has been declared Y2K compliant.  Doesn't help us with the rest of the world but at least the UK air space should be safe.  See the CAA Press Release.
